A new name. "Vélos pour la vie", my family, friends, students and new acquaintances are on a conquest for a second year.  We raised over $13,365 for the 2010 Ride as Team Calgary Budo. On June 25-26, 2011, we will be participating in the Ride to Conquer Cancer, a cycling journey along the majestic Canadian Rockies benefitting the Alberta Cancer Foundation. 

Cancer has affected all of us in different ways. It affects everyone, maybe you, me, our parents, kids, siblings or friends. Sadly, maybe all of the above. Whatever the language, "Vélos pour la vie", "Bikes for Life", "Jitensha de Jinsei o Hashirou", "Fahrrädern für das Leben","Bicicletas para la vida", "Biciklo za zivot"; we are riding and volunteering together to do something about it.  It is an amazing journey... quel défi physique et émotionel pour tous ceux qui participent.

We ride for Danielle's sister, father & uncle, for Jacques' uncles, for Emilie's uncles and aunt, for Phil's uncles and aunt, for Sarah's mother, and for Ben's grandfather (March 2011).

So join us! As a group, we will be doing training rides, helping each other to fundraise, and generating awareness for critical cancer research at the Alberta Cancer Foundation, a leader in cancer research and treatment.
